Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville, Fighting the dead but livin' large

Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville Rebuild 3 "Gangs of Deadsville" by Northway Games, is the third installment (obviously) of a zombie apocalypse "city building" strategy series. You play as your main character and play them throughout each level, gaining more skills and becoming a 'jack of all trades'. In comparison to your citizens, you become an extremely valuable asset as the game progresses. Gameplay involves building and expanding your city, managing resources such as defence, food, and building materials, meeting the various faction's, and potentially becoming allies or enemies. Defence is an extremely important skill as it is used on your outermost tiles to protect against zombie attacks. The higher your characters defense stat, the better. Like any stat in the game, they can be improved by either going to school, or equipping weapons/accessories that compliment the character.  For example, when you unlock a certain skill in the science research tre...

League of Legends Wild Rift, The Most Comprehensive Review: Not enough thumbs!

League of Legends Wild Rift Review I Need more thumbs If anyone knows me, they know that I (unfortunately) like to play League of Legends. Yes, if I had to make a dating profile for myself and people asked me what my red flags are I think that would be the one. The fact that I have been playing since 2011 and spent god knows how much probably doesn't qualify as a flag anymore, but probably a giant "CAUTION! DO NOT ENTER" sign. However, my ever so slight addiction to playing League of Legends was always curbed by my need for things like, oh, I don't know, Going to sleep. Until now... Truthfully, the only time I have found Wild Rift useful is when I am sick and unable to be on my computer out of fear that I will pass out on my keyboard.  In this circumstance it has been a really great way to pass time when I am feeling the urge to play League but can't get up to do so. As a portable way to play League of Legends it does the job, it does genuinely feel like I am pla...

Alien Isolation: A multiplayer experience, arguing ensues, horror & cliffhangers, blander than a salad story, a possible sequel incoming?

Image
It all started with my partner's Twitch stream. You see, while I am an avid horror fan I have always felt far too cowardly to actually play horror games. I am fine watching someone else play, but there was always something about getting in the players seat that made me feel deeply terrified. However, my partner's viewers wanted to watch us play Alien Isolation together. I was down to play it because it was an opportunity to spend time with my partner, and the idea of playing a game together was exciting! I was also lured under the guise we would play 50/50 (Spoiler alert: I ended up playing more and finishing the game) At first we set up with me on the mouse and him on the keyboard. We thought this would bring an element of unpredictability and extra difficulty. There were a few moments where it was very fun to play this way, but more often than not it was very intensely stressful. A few times we would be hiding in the closet, so close to the save point or right before complet...
